IP address lookup
Enter a public IPv4 or IPv6 address to check its approximate network location, internet provider, organization and autonomous system number.
What an IP lookup can tell you
Public address records can identify the network operator, autonomous system and an estimated country, region or city. These details are useful for troubleshooting routes, checking VPN exits and understanding which organization announces an address range.
Why the location is approximate
IP geolocation maps network ranges rather than reading device GPS. A result may point to a provider gateway, VPN server or city center instead of the physical device. It should not be used to identify a home or prove where a person is.
Private and reserved addresses
Addresses such as 192.168.1.1, 10.0.0.1 and 127.0.0.1 are reserved for local or internal use. They are reused across many networks and do not have a meaningful public location or ISP record.
